Democratic Race

It's very depressing to live in a society in which political advantage can be gained by being downright nasty to your opponent, even if he's of the same political color. And who are these people who are unable to make up their minds until the day of the primary, and are swayed by such tactics? Is it right that their votes may have the deciding factor in who becomes the presidential candidate? And is it right that the news media should latch on to this negative stuff, give it so much news space, and present it as normal and enjoyable? I'm getting truly disgusted with the whole thing.
